Updated March 1, 2021
Due to current Provincial Health Officer guidelines and regulations GESS will be unable to host traditional graduation celebrations. In light of this, our current plan is to host an outdoor red carpet event similar to last year’s on Sunday, June 6th, from 3:00-6:00 PM. Each graduate will walk the red carpet to receive their diploma, along with any cords and awards while their family follows alongside them in their vehicle. At the end of the red carpet, the graduate will re-enter their family vehicle and exit the parking lot to return home. This is a formal event so graduates are expected to wear either a dress/suit or their cap and gown. Please keep in mind that all of our plans are subject to change and we may have to re-evaluate in light of an order from the Ministry of Health. We have photographers and a professional videography company hired to capture the entire event.
The video, photos, and pre-recorded speeches will be professionally produced into a full length Graduation ceremony video for families to view on our Graduation night on Friday, June 18th beginning at 5:30.
